What data do we collect?

Special category data – sensitive personal data that we only process under limited circumstances. This can include information which reveals your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical belief, genetic or biometric data, data concerning your health or sexual orientation.
Demographic data Age, race & ethnicity, gender, disability status, LGBTQ+ community membership, arrest or conviction history, and veteran status / military history. We only collect these data in certain markets where permissible by law Account lifetime, or until you decide to remove these data (where applicable)

What data do we collect?

Contact information We store and process your contact information:
To create an account at your direction Account creation is done on the basis of a performance of a contract with you, the user.
To send you marketing and transactional emails, WhatsApp messages or text messages, to send
you reminders, and to send you communications from Employers / Job Seekers
Transactional emails, WhatsApp messages and text messages are sent as part of a performance of a contract. Marketing emails are sent on the basis of the legitimate interest of promoting and improving our services.
To conduct or coordinate interviews Performance of a contract to help you get jobs. Reminders of upcoming interviews and events are consent-based.
Device information We collect and process these data to administer your account and to identify fraud and spam Legitimate interest to protect our users and Sites.
Message data We process, monitor, review, store and analyze such content, including via automated means. We do this for data analysis, quality control, enforcement of the Sites’ rules and other JollyHires policies, content moderation, and to improve the Sites or any other JollyHires product or service Legitimate interest to improve our products and monitor for fraud and spam.
Payment information When you use chargeable services, we collect information to facilitate payment and verify your account. JollyHires never stores your full card number Legal obligation – to comply with our regulatory obligations.
Scheduling information To facilitate interviews scheduled through and held on JollyHires’s interview platform Performance of a contract – we collect this information so that job seekers are able to interview with employers.
Telephone data We process and store information about whether a call was answered and call duration, but we do not record calls made through the relay system. We do this to facilitate contact for the purpose of submitting applications, conducting job interviews or other communication related to a Job Listing Performance of a contract + legitimate interest in order to provide our services.
Third party data We store the information collected from your SSO account to authenticate you as a user of both JollyHires and the third party. This makes signing into JollyHires easier and more secure Consent – If you no longer wish to share data with JollyHires from your SSO account, you can adjust your SSO account settings.
User feedback and satisfaction data We solicit your feedback to improve our services Legitimate interest in improving our Sites and products.
Video recordings To allow users to conduct and participate in interviews on our platform Performance of a contract – we process these videos on behalf of an Employer and delete at the Employer’s request

Information collected from Job Seekers

Data category Purpose of processing Legal basis
Application data We process your application data and, in some cases, store it on behalf of the Employer, to facilitate your application to a Job Listing Performance of a contract – we can’t fulfill our service to help you find a job without this data.
Application screening data We pass your screening data to the relevant Employer, and may listen to and analyze the recording. We do this to improve our services Performance of a contract between JollyHires and an Employer. Legitimate interest in improving our Services. You are also asked to provide your consent to be recorded.
Assessment data We collect, analyze, process and store your assessment data to help you find more relevant Job Listings and as part of your application process to a Job Listing Performance of a contract between JollyHires and an Employer and legitimate interest in providing a valuable and relevant service to the Job Seeker.
Disposition data We store and analyze this information to understand the effectiveness of our Sites and its features Legitimate interest in improving our business.
Location data “Coarse” location data is collected and stored; “precise” location data is collected but not stored against your account. We use these data to help you find more relevant Job Listings We only collect location data with your explicit consent.
Profile data We collect, store, process and analyze your profile data to help you find more relevant Job Listings and to send you invitations to apply to certain jobs. Employers can view when you are online or recently active on JollyHires Performance of a contract as these data are essential to help you find jobs.
Resume data (public) – if you choose to make your resume public, Employers will be able to search for and view your resume, and a publicly-viewable URL will be generated We collect, store, process, profile and analyze your public resume data, as well as make it available for third parties to view. Performance of a contract as these data are essential to help you find jobs.
We rely on our legitimate interest for analytical purposes in providing a valuable and relevant service to the Job Seeker.
You may change the visibility of your resume at any time by accessing your account settings.
Resume data (private) – only you and any third parties who you agree to share your private resume with can view your private resume. We collect, store, process, profile and analyze your private resume data. We only share your private resume data with third parties at your direction. Performance of a contract as these data are essential to help you find jobs.
We rely on our legitimate interest for analytical purposes in providing a valuable and relevant service to the Job Seeker.
Search data To improve our services and to match you to jobs that you may be interested in Legitimate interest in improving our site. Performance of a contract to provide you with quality recommendations.
Special category data – sensitive personal data that we only process under limited circumstances. This can include information which reveals your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical belief, genetic or biometric data, data concerning your health or sexual orientation.
Demographic data We store these data in line with all applicable data protection regulations and analyze them only for specific purposes, such as for evaluating our algorithmic working and helping employers hire more inclusively. Where we share these data with employers, we only do so in aggregate We will only ever collect this data with your consent, and only in markets where such collection is permitted.

Information we collect from Employers

Any Personal Data that JollyHires obtains from other third-party sources will be processed by JollyHires in accordance with this Privacy Policy and all applicable laws.

– Your resume information

By creating your public resume, you are requesting and permitting JollyHires to make your resume available to third parties, such as Employers that JollyHires feels may be interested in it, by establishing a public resume through the Site or uploading a file resume on the Site. Please be aware that employers and employer representatives who access your resume while it is set to public display or to whom you submit an application with your private resume may decide to share it with additional parties. Such sharing is not the responsibility of JollyHires.

If you have a JollyHires account, you agree that JollyHires may associate your resume data with information you provide on the Site in the “Profile” section of your account.

As part of the services provided by the Sites, we retain the right to charge third parties a fee for access to your information, including Personal Data. If you decide to apply for a Job Listing, confirm your attendance at an interview, or otherwise express interest in an Employer or Job Listing, we may also share your resume to third parties at your request. Except as otherwise noted on the Site, information in your JollyHires profile may be made available to other parties, such as Employers

We may also use information in your JollyHires Profile to offer suggestions to you when you apply for jobs on third party websites in our mobile software. Your privacy settings, in compliance with this Privacy Policy, will determine the extent to which your information is made accessible to third parties. Your resume’s visibility setting is automatically set to public when you create a JollyHires profile.

You can also share your public profile directly with a shared functionality link on multiple platforms i.e WhatsApp, Linkedin, Facebook, Email, Twitter and we cannot control who sees your profile on JollyHires platform comprising of your resume when you share that link.

 

– Closing a Job Seeker account

When a Job Seeker closes an account, the Job Seeker will no longer have access to any of the data we make available under that account, including but not limited to, search history, job search preferences, saved jobs, jobs the Job Seeker has applied to, Job Alerts, JollyHires Profile, and any other data associated with the account. If the Job Seeker uses the same phone number address to set up a new account, this data from a previous account will not become available to the Job Seeker again and the Job Seeker will have to set up his account from scratch. Additionally, please also note that closing your Job Seeker account may result in you losing access to some of our products and the ability to utilize the “log in with JollyHires” feature found on certain third-party sites.

JollyHires reserves the right to keep any materials in a closed account as necessary to preserve and protect its rights to the extent permitted by law (for example, to preserve records of a dispute) or to comply with its obligations under local law (for example, if requested to retain by law enforcement). A closed account does not mean that all of the data is expunged from the JollyHires systems, although it will not be readily available under the Job Seeker’s original account. JollyHires will begin to process that instruction within 48 hours of the Job Seeker initiating the process. JollyHires will complete the operation within 40 days.

If a Job Seeker wishes to delete their Personal Data held by JollyHires, they should follow the steps listed for account deletion in the section of this Privacy Policy

 

– Where a Job Seeker wants to delete a job application

If a Job Seeker wants to delete a job application performed on the Sites, they are advised to contact the prospective Employer directly to request deletion of their application. Job seeker applications and materials submitted through the Sites, including through JollyHires Apply, may be controlled by the Employer. We may direct you to that Employer for Personal Data deletion requests where that Personal Data is held by that Employer.

 

-Automated processing of your Personal Data

In order to optimize the performance of the Sites, we perform automated processing of Personal Data evaluating specific aspects relating to a user. We use this automated processing to analyze and predict a user’s preferences and interests where we perform this processing, we do so either on the basis of user consent or the performance of a contract, whereby such processing is necessary for us to provide our services to Job Seekers and Employers.

For example, in certain cases such processing allows us to match Job Seekers with Employers effectively, to provide Job Seekers with Job Alerts, recommended jobs, and invitations to take action on jobs that the Job Seeker is likely to be more interested in, to send particular Job Seeker applications to an Employer, to display search results, to send application status notifications on behalf of Employers, or to perform certain spam and fraud detection activities to protect our users. Such processing is subject to the safeguards detailed in this Privacy Policy to protect the privacy of our users. You may contact [email protected] to contest any decision generated by said automated processing.

Minimum age of our users

The Sites are not directed at children, and we do not use the Sites to knowingly solicit personal information from or market to children. If we learn that a child has provided personal information through one of the Sites, we will remove that information from our systems.

We adopt a range of measures to try to ensure that we do not accept individuals who do not meet the minimum age and any other applicable age requirements.
